Placing an Order
There are several ordering options available to Kegel’s Produce customers. Our customer service department is “LIVE” from:
6:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday
6:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday
A voicemail system takes customers’ calls after hours. We also create customer order forms for those customers who choose to fax orders. Online ordering is also available. ORDERS MUST BE IN BY 9:00 PM TO ENSURE NEXT DAY DELIVERY.

In order to qualify for our terms, each customer needs to complete a credit application. Credit applications are available through our office or produce consultant, and after completion take one week to process. Payment may be made by check, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. All deliveries will be C.O.D. until credit application is approved.
Our terms for customer charges vary – 3 main options are: Net 7 – All invoices for a week are due 7 days after the end of the week; Net 14 – Invoices for 1st to 15th of the month are due by the 25th, invoices for 16th to 31st are due by 10th of the following month; Net –E.O.M. – invoices for a calendar month – due by the 10th of the following month.
Non Sufficient Funds
A $20.00 service charge, or maximum allowable by law, will be assessed the first time your check is returned. If the same check is returned the second time, a $20.00 service charge, or maximum allowable by law, will be assessed again and your terms will be changed to certified check, cash, or money order.
All orders for next day delivery must be placed by 9:00pm to ensure next day delivery. Orders under $100 may be assessed a delivery fee.
Kegel’s Produce offers Federal Express delivery service. We would ask that you allow us (1) working day lead time to process these orders. Freight for all items shipped FedEx will be paid by the customer. Visa, MasterCard, or check (if prior approved) may be used for these orders. There is no minimum.
Orders may be picked up at our warehouse between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday. Pick-up discounts do apply, and there is no minimum.
Each customer is assigned a customer number, which is shown above your name and address on your invoice. Please, when placing an order, give your customer number and your full business name. Example: 000001- Your Company.
Out of Stock Items
We strive to ensure that everything is in stock, however all items out of stock will not be automatically reordered. We will notify you of any out-of-stock items.
We request that all returns be reported within 24 hours of receiving your order. It is important to supply all the necessary information including invoice number, date of invoice, number of cases received as well as shortages, etc. This will make it possible to handle your claim promptly and efficiently. We request that you do not make any changes on your invoices. This is important to keep your account in balance.
Please observe the following procedure for returns:
- Customer must have original invoice number to receive credit.
- Credit/Return Authorization form must be completed and returned in order to receive credit.
- We guarantee all merchandise is fresh when shipped.
- We will promptly rectify any errors for which we are responsible.
- Kegel’s Produce personnel will write up all returns and corrections.
- All saleable merchandise will be returned in proper condition.
If you are in need of an item that we are not currently stocking, we will research the availability of the product and do a special order if possible. 48 hours to 72 hours may be required before receiving the item. Special orders may not be returned unless otherwise authorized.
